  • First Fridays: Downtown for the Holidays
    December 1 – Kick off the holiday season in style with a very special First Friday, which includes Santa's spectacular arrival, the tree-lighting ceremony, and even a fireworks show.

  • Santa's House and Workshop
    Weekends in December  - Does Santa shop South Bend homes for sale, too? Every year, the man in red and his happy helpers set up Santa's House and Workshop in South Bend, with fun activities and free photo ops.

  • Visit Rudolph and the Grinch

  • Holiday Light Parade
    December 6 – Every year, Michigan Street becomes the site of one of the brightest parades in South Bend. Take in floats decorated to the brim with holiday lights, while you enjoy an evening downtown.

  • Grown-Up Movie Night
    December 15 – Who says movie night is just for the kids? Simply head down to Four Winds Field and watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation on the big screen.

  • Polar Express Pajama Party
    December 22 – Let the kids get comfortable in their favorite PJs for a special, free screening of the Polar Express on the silver screen at Bendix Theater.

  • Snowboard Simulator
    December 23 – Hit the slopes, without ever leaving South Bend! The Hilton Doubletree will have a snowboard simulator set up outdoors, where you can test your skills.

  • Live Holiday Performances – Throughout December – The historic performance venues of South Bend are also busy during the holidays, with favorites like A Christmas Story, the Nutcracker Ballet, and performances from the South Bend Symphony Orchestra on tap in December.
